Google Science Fair 2012

The Google Science Fair is an online science competition sponsored by GoogleLegoCERN, National Geographic and Scientific American, with the motto of finding the brightest young scientists from around the world.The first edition of the competition( launched in 2011) was a grand success with the immense participation of around 10,000 students from 91 countries.


Students aged 13-18

  • Single or team wise 
  • Participants should have a project theme.
  • Have to do the experiments and arrive at their conclusions with proper observation data’s
  • Should build their project site ( with Google sites)
  • Should submit their projects


The grand prize winner along with one parent or guardian will have the chance to visit the Gal├ípagos Archipelago, Darwin’s living laboratory, and the home to an abundance of wildlife.Google will cover the cost of flights for the winner plus one parent or guardian to the Galapagos. This prize is valid for one year from winning the prize.The Grand Prize winner will also receive:
  • A scholarship from Google
  • A once-in-a-lifetime experience
  • A personalised LEGO prize
  • Digital Access to Scientific American archives for their School
The deadline for project submissions is on 1 April, 2012
