Google Code Jam 2012

Google Code Jam is an international programming competition conducted by Google. The competition began in 2003 as a means to identify top engineering talent for potential employment at Google.The competition consists of a set of algorithmic problems which must be solved in a fixed amount of time. Competitors may use any programming language and development environment to obtain their solutions. Last year over 30,000 coders attained the title of Code Jam Champion, and a grand prize of $10,000 and this year too Google is back with its 2012 edition,Google code jam 2012.

Open to individuals who are 18 years of age or older as of July 22, 2012. Individuals who do not meet that requirement but are 13 years of age or older at the time of registration may enter the competition but will only be able to take part in the Qualification and Online Rounds.

The competition consists of four online rounds, culminating in the world finals. This year, the final round will be held at Google’s office in New York City, USA this July. See detailed schedule
