FUZZY LOGIC BASED CONTROL OF ANTI-LOCK BRAKE SYSTEM
Antilock braking system, often referred to as ABS in short, is a safety system that has the ability to stop the wheels of the vehicle without locking . It has become quite a popular feature in the modern cars and bikes.
The main aim of ABS is to ensure minimal stopping distances and optimal vehicle control during emergency and hard braking conditions The fuzzy logic controller considers relative speed and distance as input and gives brake pressure as output. The controller monitors lock-up of tires and the resulting stability loss. Then, it used ABS to decelerate the vehicle. The typical ABS control algorithms should account for the brake torque’s non-linearity because of dynamics and temperature variation of brake fluid viscosity.
