Artificial Neural Network (ANN) is inspired by the biological nervous system, whose elements are called neurons. ANN functionality is determined by the connections between the neurons. It can be trained to perform a particular function by tuning the values of the weights (connections) between the neurons. ANN resembles the brain in two aspects. First, the network acquires knowledge through a learning process. Second, the inter neuron connection weights are used to store the knowledge. Global Positioning System (GPS) is used as the primary source of information to provide vehicles position. GPS is capable of providing precise positioning information to an unlimited number of users anywhere on the planet but can provide this type of information only when there is a direct line of sight to four or more satellites . Inertial Navigation S ystem (INS) is a navigation aid that uses a computer, motion sensors (accelerometers) and rotation sensors (gyroscopes) to continuously calculate via dead reckoning the position, orientation, and velocity (direction and speed of movement) of a moving object without the need for external references. It is used on vehicles such as ships and aircrafts .
